Improved Access to Housing Supports & Information

What we learned

In New Brunswick, housing, income, and disability supports are three separate provincial government programs. This leaves citizens navigating multiple intake streams, repeating information, and it creates confusion. Problems that were raised during the Lab included:

  •  There is a need for support to help people secure and sustain housing as well as community connections
  • Access to supports and housing is siloed, confusing and overwhelming
  • An aging population (and aging caregivers)
